CFlo secures major order from Stevin Rock in Ras Al Khaimah

CFlo has secured a major order from Stevin Rock, one of the world's largest quarry operators and wholly owned by the Government of Ras Al Khaimah, for a Combo Mega E5 wet processing plant. The CE certified plant has been dispatched and is on its way to site.

The plant will treat limestone scalpings and mine rejects, converting material that a dry crushing and screening circuit leaves as low value by-product into washed, graded product.

Why the duty matters at this scale

Stevin Rock has operated in Ras Al Khaimah since 1975 and produces more than 80 million tonnes a year across three sites, drawing on limestone, dolomite and gabbro reserves of over 4.5 billion tonnes. Its Khor Khuwair quarry alone has a capacity above 60 million tonnes a year of high quality limestone. The material goes into asphalt and ready-mix aggregate, land reclamation, armour rock for marine defences, and into the cement, steel and mining industries.

At that scale the arithmetic of scalpings changes. A reject fraction that looks small as a percentage becomes a very large tonnage in absolute terms, and it accumulates on site whether or not there is a market for it. Washing it to a specification turns a stockpile into a product line without a single additional tonne being quarried, which is the same resource efficiency argument that applies to a crushed rock quarry anywhere.

A proven duty in the same market

This is not a first attempt at the application. Power International, a Bathwal Group company, already runs a Combo Mega E5 on limestone mine rejects at Fujairah in the UAE, converting production waste into saleable products while meeting the quality standards its customers set. The Stevin Rock plant is the same machine on the same duty for the largest quarry operator in the region. Commissioning lies ahead, and CFlo will publish the measured results once the plant is running rather than before.

Support in the region and beyond
