Feeds include crushed rock fines, sand and gravel, silica sand and construction and demolition waste. Plant range for the UK, Ireland and Europe
CFlo supplies five platforms. Each is a factory-assembled modular plant that ships in standard containers and is commissioned on a prepared pad. Three have UK pages whose standards apply equally in Ireland and on the continent.
- Combo for UK and Irish quarries: the sand washing plant for crushed rock fines, scalpings and as-dug sand and gravel, up to 350 tonnes per hour on one chassis. Up to 95% of process water is recycled.
- Micrograder for silica sand, china clay and foundry sand: the specification plant for narrow grading bands. It recovers by-product sand as a saleable product.
- Reurban for construction and demolition waste: the modular plant that washes rubble, excavation spoil, incinerated bottom ash and clay-bound quarry by-product into recycled sand and graded aggregate.
- Oremax: the ore washing and beneficiation plant, proven on iron ore, limestone, chromite, quartz, bauxite, phosphate, manganese and slimes recovered from tailings.
- Aerograder: the dry air classifier, cutting fines from a dry feed below 5 mm with no process water, no cyclones and no baghouse.
Every wet plant includes two process modules. The Hydromax high-rate thickener returns most of the process water. The Easysettle sludge bay manager rigidifies tailings at the point of disposal, so they release their water at once and dry to a trafficable cake. This keeps the lagoon footprint small. Sites without room for lagoons get mechanical dewatering instead. Plants for the United Kingdom, Ireland and Europe are CE and UKCA marked, including CFlo's own PLC control panels.
Concreting sand from quarry fines
A wash plant has two quarry feeds: the fines a crushed rock quarry produces anyway, sold as scalpings or stockpiled, and as-dug sand and gravel carrying clay and silt. The Combo handles both. It removes the minus 63 micron fraction at a cut point the operator sets and scrubs off clay where present. The remainder is graded inside the EN 12620 envelope for concreting sand, and the coarse fractions are sold as graded aggregate to EN 13242. They are published as BS EN in the United Kingdom and I.S. EN in Ireland, with national annexes setting local categories. Wing stockpiling conveyors send a concreting sand and a finer building sand to two stockpiles at once.
In Great Britain across 2014 to 2023, new planning permissions covered about 61 tonnes for every 100 tonnes of sand and gravel used, and about 33 tonnes for crushed rock. The Mineral Products Association has called this unsustainable in the medium term. A crushed rock quarry that washes its own fines makes sand near the demand from material it has already drilled, blasted and crushed. In the United Kingdom, washing unsold fines into saleable sand brings them into charge under the Aggregates Levy, at £2.16 a tonne from 1 April 2026. Silica sand, china clay and foundry sand
Glass sand, foundry sand, filtration media and china clay need a narrow grading band with iron and fines under control. The Micrograder does this in four stages. Attrition scrubbing lifts coatings off the grain. Precision fine screens hold the top of the gradation. Spiral gravity concentrators remove heavy minerals and iron-bearing grains without reagents. Upward-flow classification places the fine cut. At Chu Lai in Vietnam two Micrograder lines take a feed of about 98.5% silicon dioxide to float glass sand above 99.3%. Iron oxide falls from roughly 0.5% to below 0.05% on a gravity-only circuit with roughly 95% water recovery. At Bhuj in Gujarat a Micrograder raised china clay recovery fivefold for Suraj Minerals and made glass-grade sand from the by-product.
Recycled aggregate from construction and demolition waste
Washing lifts recycled aggregate from fill and sub-base to graded aggregate and recycled sand that a concrete plant will accept, tested against BS EN 12620 or BS EN 13242. The Reurban scrubs rubble, excavation spoil and incinerated bottom ash and floats off wood, plastic, paper and other lightweights. It removes the fines under control and grades the remainder into washed recycled sand and aggregate. Contaminants leave as a small dewatered residue. For a contractor or recycler, a disposal cost becomes a product that sells against primary material. The plant is mobile enough to work on the site producing the waste.
Plants for Ireland
CFlo Europe Limited covers the whole island from Belfast. Operators in the Republic of Ireland deal with the same engineers as those in Northern Ireland and Great Britain. Irish specifications follow I.S. EN 12620 and I.S. EN 13242, and plants for the Republic are CE marked for the European Union. Plants for the European Union
CFlo Europe Limited covers the European Union from Belfast, with commissioning and service from the same team in a European time zone. EN 12620 and EN 13242 apply from Ireland to the Baltic. A plant sized for one country therefore meets the same grading rules in another. Plants for the EU are CE marked and ship in standard containers to any European port. Sample Study and Pre-Engineering
Sizing starts with a Sample Study of the operator's material at CFlo's own pilot plant and laboratory in Kolkata, a DSIR-recognised in-house R&D unit. The sequence is a review of existing gradation data, a 20 kg bench sample by courier, then a pilot sample only if the bench result justifies it. The report gives grades and yields against EN 12620 or EN 13242, with washed sand also run in concrete. Pre-Engineering runs while planning and permitting proceed, so manufacture starts as soon as consent is granted. CFlo also offers equipment leasing or pay-per-tonne tolling.

How does a Sample Study work from the UK, Ireland or Europe?
Programmes run from 20 kg for a short bench programme up to 2500 kg for a full pilot campaign. Samples travel to the CFlo works in Kolkata, India, on a DDP basis with the paperwork agreed first. Scoping with Belfast comes first, because the sampling method is as important as the quantity.
