Aerograder Air Classifier for the Middle East

Efficient material separation with minimal water: dry classification built for the Gulf, where water availability shapes every processing decision.

The Aerograder is an advanced air classification system that separates fine and coarse materials with minimal water use, no cyclones, baghouses or external fans, and low energy consumption. Ideal for water-scarce sites in the Middle East, it is delivered regionally by CFlo World FZE. UAE toll free: 800 088 601045.

Revolutionising material processing in water-scarce regions

The Aerograder Air Classifier separates fine and coarse materials efficiently with minimal water usage, a reliable solution for projects where water availability is limited and operational costs must stay low. It excels at dedusting: reducing dust and fine particles from feed materials so the final product is clean, well graded and meets high quality standards.

Few regions fit that profile better than the Middle East. CFlo World FZE delivers the Aerograder across the Middle East, supporting projects aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and NEOM.

Key features

  • Efficient separation of both fine and coarse materials using advanced air classification technology
  • Minimal water usage, ideal for water-scarce sites
  • No auxiliary equipment: no cyclones, baghouses or external fans, significantly reducing complexity, capital and operating costs
  • Low energy consumption, with the lowest power requirement making it one of the most energy-efficient systems in its class
  • Integrated eco-friendly dust suppression system controlling particulate emissions for environmental compliance
  • Modular design that adapts easily to the specific needs of any project

Applications across industries

In construction and infrastructure, the Aerograder produces graded sand and aggregates from crushed rock fines for road construction, concrete production and other infrastructure projects.

In mining and minerals, it efficiently classifies materials such as silica and other minerals where dry processing is preferred or water is unavailable.

Proven in the Gulf on frac sand

Four Aerograder units run in parallel in Abu Dhabi, 280 tonnes per hour of combined capacity, grading local silica sand into frac sand proppant with no process water at all. Across a verification campaign at 70 tonnes per hour per unit the graded product averaged 0.83% minus 200 mesh against a 1% specification ceiling, at about 90% mass yield. The measured results are in the Abu Dhabi frac sand case study.

It matters for the region because the alternative is importing proppant. Where the feed is dry and the deposit is local, air will do the work that would otherwise need water the Gulf does not have.

What customers say

"We are delighted with the performance of CFlo's Aerograder on our Samruddhi Mahamarg project. The technology not only helped us save valuable water resources but also delivered consistent, high-quality graded manufactured sand. From timely equipment installation to the continuous production of uncompromised quality materials, CFlo's team has proven their worth as pioneers in sustainable sand solutions. Their steady support and attention to detail made them a trusted partner on this significant project."

Proving the cut on your own feed

A dry cut depends on the feed gradation and on surface moisture, both of which vary by deposit and by season. CFlo runs bulk samples through pilot units at its DSIR-accredited material testing lab and reports the cut point achieved, the yield either side of it and the moisture the feed can carry.

Pre-Engineering then designs the installation while the project is in approval: process flow, mass balance, layout and equipment schedule, so manufacture begins the day the project is confirmed.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is the Aerograder Air Classifier?

An advanced air classification system that separates fine and coarse materials with minimal water use. It is particularly effective for dedusting, removing dust and fine particles from feed materials so the final product is clean and well graded, and its modular design adapts to the specific needs of any project.

Does the Aerograder need cyclones or baghouses?

No. Unlike other air classification systems, the Aerograder requires no auxiliary equipment: no cyclones, baghouses or external fans. That significantly reduces plant complexity, capital cost and operating cost, while an integrated dust suppression system controls particulate emissions to keep the installation environmentally compliant.

How energy efficient is the Aerograder?

It operates with the lowest power requirement in its class, making it one of the most energy-efficient classification systems available. Combined with minimal water usage and the absence of auxiliary equipment, that gives the Aerograder among the lowest operating costs of any fine-material separation approach.

What applications suit the Aerograder in the Middle East?

Producing graded sand and aggregates from crushed rock fines for road construction, concrete production and infrastructure projects, and classifying silica and other minerals in mining. Because it needs minimal water, it suits desert and remote sites in the Middle East where wet processing is impractical.

Has the Aerograder been proven on major projects?

Yes. On the Samruddhi Mahamarg expressway project, Afcons Infrastructure Limited reported that the Aerograder saved valuable water resources while delivering consistent, high-quality graded manufactured sand, with timely installation and continuous production of uncompromised quality materials.
