Sanjay Singh, Associate Director - Engineering, CFlo, addressed the gathering with a diligently prepared presentation on ‘Review of Construction sand: Situation in India’. The presentation outlined the perilous situation of natural riverine sand shortage in India-a resource whose importance lies second only to water and air. In fact, according to the Central Public Health Environmental Engineering Organization, the Indian Real Estate Industry alone is facing a shortage of aggregates to the extent of 55,000 million cum. Clearly mining sand from the river is not a sustainable solution simply because of the finitude of the resource that is increasingly leading to the menace of illegal sand mining. The presentation veered towards the replacement of river sand with superior and sustainable alternatives for a long-lasting solution.

Founded in 2006, we provide path breaking solutions for combating growing shortages in natural sands, recovering value from low-grade minerals through beneficiation and solving the age-old problem of industrial C&D waste disposal by offering novel recycling techniques to recover useful construction materials. The company has been credited with developing patented and innovative products that have redefined the construction, mining and waste management industries. Its efforts in recycling water and reusing waste have met with favourable government response, especially in times when the world leadership is witnessing a shift in focus towards sustainable energy and extending the value of finite resources.

The foundation of our success story lies in being the global pioneer of sand washing technology – proved over time and through thousands of global installations to help our customers maximize the quality and value of their washed sand products for a variety of applications – easily the best proposition for C&D waste recycling and M-Sand production.

Needless to say, the conference was a success with like-minded scholars, analysts and experts sharing their experiences and inputs on diverse topics such as revolutionizing transport infrastructure using modern technology, emerging business opportunities in transport value chain and co related topics which thoroughly dissected and agenda from all aspects.

We extend hour heartfelt thanks to the confederation of Indian Industry for this prized opportunity to address participate and join the change-makers in the nation’s dynamic transport infrastructure needs.
